  1. I'm an ebook author thrilled to be short listed with Mysterious Master for the International Festival of romance writers Award 2012 for best author published read. Although I didn't win it was still exciting to be at the award ceremony with friendly writers.

The festival was well organised last weekend at Bedford by author Kate Allen - who is also literary agent Kate Nash.

Authors had a chance to pitch a new book to editors. Read extracts to the public -sell and sign books and have fun meeting up with other writers who understand that you are serious in trying to become traditionally published -or published by reputable ebook only publishers -and that writing is something you are compelled to do -it is not a little 'hobby' as most people assume, which infuriates hard working authors.

The synopsis in a ten minute interview with an editor is all important. Get that wrong and the best book in the world goes unnoticed

Feedback was encouraging and helpful hints will guide the next draft of my latest novel.

I now have several ebooks on smashwords and kindle ranging from true life -to romantic fiction.

You always hope for that one lucky break and fifty shades for OAP's has become an unlikely best seller for author Hilary Boyd featured in the paper today.
Although if like me you are well over fifty you are not surprised that you still have a sex life. You might not be capable of swinging from the chandelier any longer but a love life is still an important part of your life
    .
Its important for writers to support one another as too many people are only happy when they are criticising others.

The best thing about ebook publishing is that your work is out there in twenty four hours for readers to enjoy - or hate -in the case of Daddy's Little Spy -Isabella Rose's struggle to survive WW2 when her mother joins a coven -illegal during wartime in england.

Locally I've been vilified for writing a nasty book about my mother -because everything you write is taken personally - in fact its a story of a child's courage in adversity when even teachers looked the other way -saying they were afraid of a witch - but still bought love spells from Isabella's mother.

I do have a paperback version because there was a demand for it as some readers still enjoy holding a book in their hands.
And its immensly satisfying to see your 'baby' in print.

So this is a letter from a writer happy to publish ebooks on smashwords and if you want to see the variety of books that I write please check them out as they are at bargain prices for Xmas. Devil Doctor by ~Angel Rose is my latest ebook. See if you approve of the cover as sales dropped but viewings increased when I changed the front cover on smashwords.

Isabella Rose -Angel Rose -or my real name Pamela Strange.
